This home staging project is where our home staging journey really began; A small 1930’s style home we ‘refreshed’ and re-organised on a very small budget.
Below (and main image above) shows the before and after shots of the dining area after our home staging exercise.
We started by painting the walls white, upgrading the lampshade and adding a lighter colour curtain. We also removed the old fashioned clock, pictures and other ornaments and added a small mirror and plants to the area, as well as a good quality rug, which helped to define the dining area as a separate space from the living area.
The image on the left shows the living room with a poorly fitting & dated sofa, so after measuring the wall we found a replacement sofa of the correct size- it was also a neutral colour.
We also added a better quality rug, took down personal artworks and photos and replaced with a large mirror as a focal point, replaced the dated lampshades and cold bulbs with warmer ones & added curtains over the blinds to soften the sharp edges of the windows, but still letting in all the natural light. In addition, we added a few touches of decoration such as house plants, lamps and a couple of modern funky ornaments to bring the home into this century.
